While I don't greatly rate the Swords these days and have never much liked them it would be foolish to deny that back when they first came out that they were immensely powerful in a lot of formats

The card types in Magic include artifact, battle, creature, enchantment, instant, kindred, land, planeswalker, and sorcery

While Theros: Beyond Deaths cards lack the sly humour and folklore trimmings of previous card set Throne of Eldraine, those things are replaced with something much more horrifying and epic, with all the cosmic trimmings adding an otherworldly tinge to the classic legends

I felt like this card comes out on top because there are a few powerhouse cards that it can tutor for that Recruiter of the Guard cant, including one of the later entries on this list
